Thank you for being part of the BTechWise community. These terms explain how you can use our website, emails, courses and eBooks, and what you can expect from us. I've kept them as short and plain as I can.
1. Who we are
BTechWise is run by BTechWise Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC858952). Our registered office is 2a Craigentinny Crescent, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 6QB.
I'm Roger Hegarty, the person behind BTechWise. You can contact us at [email protected]. In these terms, "we", "us" and "I" all mean BTechWise Ltd.
2. Using our services
These terms apply to our website btechwise.com, our emails, free resources, courses, eBooks, and anything you buy from us. By using any of these, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
3. What we provide
Everything we share is for education and information. It is not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
4. Our content
All courses, eBooks, guides and images are owned by BTechWise Ltd or used with permission. You're welcome to use them for your own business and to share links to them. Please don't copy, resell or republish them as your own without our written permission.
5. Other people's tools and websites
We often recommend and link to tools run by other companies. We don't control them, so their own terms, prices and privacy policies apply when you use them. Some of our links are affiliate links; our Disclaimer explains how these work.
6. Buying from us
When we start offering paid courses, eBooks or memberships, these extra terms will apply:
Price and payment. The price and what's included will be shown clearly before you pay. Payments are taken securely through our website platform, provided by Canonbury Publishing Ltd.
Your order. Our agreement starts when we confirm your order by email.
Changing your mind. You normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. For digital content you can access straight away, we'll ask you to agree that you lose this right once you start downloading or accessing it.
Your legal rights. What you buy must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If it isn't, we'll fix it, replace it or refund you. Any money-back guarantee we offer is extra to these rights, never instead of them.
Subscriptions. If we offer a subscription, we'll tell you how often you'll be charged, remind you before it renews, and make cancelling easy.
7. Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care to make our content accurate and useful. If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care, we're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of that.
Our content is meant to help you learn. We aren't responsible for decisions you make about your business, or for lost profits, income or opportunities. If you buy from us as a business, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
We'll try to keep our website running smoothly, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
8. Getting in touch
I read every message sent to [email protected], and I always welcome your feedback. I can't offer one-to-one technical support, but I'll always reply to questions about these terms, your data or a purchase.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If we make an important change, we'll let you know by email. Changes won't affect anything you've already bought.
10. Complaints and the law
If something isn't right, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by Scots law, and disputes may be heard in the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest will still apply.
